A wind-blown feather. The scent of rain on dry earth. A red bird chirping in the morning.
These are more than just moments in nature to me. They are divine inspiration. They often become the heartbeats of my stories. This is how God speaks to me. Not always in thunder or clarity, but in small, sacred fragments of creation.
A question from a child that won't leave me. The names of the vegetables in my garden. The call of a mourning dove.
"Ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds of the air, and they will tell you.”— Job 12:7
That verse reminds me that the world outside is not just background - it's my co-author.
When I write, I don’t begin with a publishing goal or a market trend. I begin with observation and prayer. I trust that the same God who made this earth full of rhythms, textures, and questions also weaves stories through it. I just have to pay attention.
We all crave direction, especially in seasons of transition. We want to know what’s ahead, where we’re going, and how to stay aligned with what matters most.
